Often, the prevailing attitude regarding insurance fraud is that no one gets hurt. Many people believe that the big insurance companies can easily absorb the cost, while theyre simply taking back money that theyve been paying in premiums for years. In reality, insurance fraud costs American consumers upwards of $30 billion each year.
In conclusion, anyone who knowingly provides inaccurate information or doesnt divulge pertinent details during the application, underwriting or claim-filing process can potentially face fraud charges.

Assumption Life is one of Canada’s leading insurance carriers for non-medical life insurance solutions.
Its basic non-medical policy is called Total Protection and is available with as few as four questions. Face amounts can range from 5,000 to 50,000 and for amounts over $30,000, additional health questions are required. The policies are available to applicants age 18 to 80 and they come with a multi-life discount.
The policies are available on a deferred basis, that is, if death occurs within the first two years, by non-accidental means, the payout is limited to a return of premium, plus interest.

My friend bought a car and accepted an insurance quote of £925 from Aviva, through the broker Allen & Allen. I agreed to pay the premium and my friend would repay me. A few days after I paid, A&A cancelled the policy saying its agent should not have offered advice. My friend had to find insurance elsewhere and I was promised a refund within five days. The money did not arrive and, when I phoned, A&A said the policy was still valid, though it was cancelled, and it they needed proof that my friend was covered elsewhere before it could refund my money. I emailed his new cover note and phoned several times but have still not received the refund.

Following the recent powerful winds sweeping through the country, we have had a number of enquiries from customers who are unsure as to what their home insurance for second homes does and does not cover in relation to fallen trees.
As the great storm of 1987 demonstrated, falling trees can cause widespread disruption and damage.
